Meet the Team

This is a place where you can get to know the incredible coaches and athletes of the Ringgold High School Cross Country Team.

Coach Jen

Coach Jennifer Lejeune McMichael has been coaching with

Ringgold for 1 6 years. She began as the coed distance coach and is now the Head Cross Country Coach and the Head Indoor/Outdoor Track Coach & Coordinator. She herself has been running since high school, and currently holds the girls 1600m record for track & field. After high school, Jen went on to run for California University of Pennsylvania and still runs competitively today. Ringgold's running program would be nothing without Coach Jen's outgoing personality and her favorite accessory..a cup of coffee.

Coach Ang

Coach Ang became a member of the Ringgold Cross Country Team in 2014. She brings much knowledge on injury prevention to the team as well as a positive attitude. We are very glad she joined the team and thanks to her support we will continue our success.

Sarah Lucas

TITLES/HONORS: All County, All Conference, Ringgold All Time Top 10, Ringgold 800m School Record Holder

BIO: Sarah has been running cross country since 7th grade. She consistently runs in the top 2 or 3 for Ringgold and even made it onto the Top 10 list as a freshman. Sarah holds the school record in the 800m for outdoor track and is a very hard worker.

Janika Hutton

TITLES/HONORS: All Conference Runner, All County Runner, Captain, Ringgold All-Time

BIO: Janika was an outstanding freshman and was consistently our #2 runner. She has already gained tons of titles and we cannot wait to see what she will accomplish this year.

Amber Mathews

BIO: Amber has been running cross country since 7th grade. She is an outstanding runner as well as the team mom. She is always willing to go above and beyond for her teammates both in life and on the course.

BIO: Raina is a 400m runner in track with the desire to improve and run at the college level. She does cross country to keep in shape, however she is an important asset to the cross country team since she is often found in the top 7.
